You can start a new life of faith in Jesus...
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) and
"The wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23)
We've all sinned and the result is death!!! That's why we're lost and without hope on our own. Our "wages" that we earn because of our sin is spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God, or hell.
But there is hope! There is a light shining and a voice calling out for you to come and be rescued. His name is Jesus and He gave His own life in order to save yours. The Bible says,
"But God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8), and...
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
The gift that God gives is that you can be forgiven from your sins and have the promise of eternal life with Christ in heaven.
You can be rescued! Because of what Christ has done, there is hope for you. You simply need to respond to His call and come to His light. How do you do that? The Bible says,
"To as many as received Him He gave the right to become Children of God..." (John 1:12), and ...
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
If you realize that you're lost on your own, and believe that Jesus came and died on the cross and rose again for you, then right now you can step out and trust in Jesus to rescue you. You just need to sincerely pray something like this,
"Jesus I know that I am lost without you because of sin. Please forgive my sin. I believe that you died and rose again for me and I trust you with my life. Help me now to live for you, because you died for me. Thank you so much for rescuing me! Amen."
